SHIMA RABIEE

Shima is a fine artist, and a creative designer based in New York City. She earned her Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor degree in Architecture. Since 2011, she has been practicing as a designer in New York City, San Francisco, and Boston. As well as the design field, she has been practicing painting for over 15 years. Her work is primarily focused on oil painting and drawing, with abstract realism style. Parallel to teaching at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, She has participated in a number of workshops and exhibitions and has published a book titled Design Visualization; The book has been featured in the LAM in 2020. Her interest is engaging the form as a fundamental element in the design and creative process and making a conclusive discussion through it, that is functional, inspiring and necessary in design and art studios.
